The owner should hire an attorney to file a declaratory judgment action seeking to strike the easement and “lien” (whatever that means, it makes no sense) on the grounds that it is unconscionable and creates an unreasonable restraint on alienation.

Granted, I know they may be very busy now, but it wasn't unreasonable questions and would only take a couple of minutes. 

The asset manager is now terminating the contract saying what we were asking is unreasonable.

If these people know what they're doing, these things can get dragged out for an unreasonable amount of time without professional help.That said, these sound like clear violations and it should not be difficult to have them quickly removed.
