My only caution is to make sure you have dealt with whatever behavior patterns led you to be in debt otherwise if you don’t change those patterns, it will only be a matter of time before you are in debt once again after having become debt free.

They would just do more of what we are currently doing with deficit spending, print or borrow the extra money.As someone literate in economics has already mentioned, this would be mostly inflationary and erode much of the purchasing power the subsidy would provide.The bigger issue many advocates always ignore is that poverty is mostly a behavioral problem not an economic one.
