I'm soaking up the info!

.:) I started going to my local real estate investing club and just soaked up as much information as I possibly could.

@Rodney Taylor, obviously you do not know what mason lath is, mason lath is a wood shim that is used mostly for doing plaster work ( you see it in old homes in the walls) and doesn't rust, it is not diamond lathe which is metal, that is used for stucco and cement tile jobs, which could rust and is what you are probably thinking of. cement board is not porous like you think it is, it does not soak through the board, if done properly and all joints are sealed with thinset and mesh tape, if grout fails there will not be any problems. 

In my opinion, however it is misleading/a major time waster for beginner investors, who are trying to soak up as much information as possible, to immediately jump into a seminar geared toward getting into their pockets more than providing actual substance to help learn. 

The struggle has been, since the money has been rolling in, instead of saving as I had been doing we started soaking a bunch into our home for much needed repairs and updating....new windows all around, ductless mini-split system, etc. 

As we continue to participate & network with the BP Community, we'll all learn more about each other.We are just now looking for our first property to purchase all while seeking and soaking up all the educational info we possibly can in order to finish up our short-term and longer-term business plan.

At this time we are soaking our socks in Paris, Georgetown, Montgomery and any area along this region of Kentucky.

And soak up as much as you can.

I'd listen to podcast and read books to soak up information.
