Either way, you may want to talk to the city and make sure what all needs to be done to meet the code and all requirements to get a CO ( cert of occupancy).

Hey BP, I am considering renting a property to a co-worker and would like to get rent pulled directly from his payroll into my account which he is agreeing to do.
