Lake Wobegon Market Update: Lake Wobegon has long been a magnet for business due to it's reputation as the town where all the women are strong, all the men good looking, and all the children above average.

I know what I make of it, as I've met quite a few janitors I would call better, finer, more upright men and women who do more good in the world than quite a few people with quite a lot more "financial freedom."

There's no question that some federal rules can be harder on small businesses than large corporations - a minimum wage, for example, or a requirement without waivers to provide health insurance to all employees, or the illegality of paying women less than men.

Municipalities are empowered by NC statute to enact local ordinances, and some do define occupancy limits.

I know I would... they won't cover normal wear and tear.. but beyond that there could be coverage.. and I would be talking to my insurance man or women to make sure in the future your covered for tenant damages in excess of wear and tear.I was in my case other wise I would have lost 30k plus.. as it was I only lost 10k..

I hope to learn to teach... women especially.

I'm the one in coveralls with the line of keys dangling down my leg so I'll drive the heap along with Jim and not care :)  its why when I started my real estate career I did not go toe to toe with the women that were selling houses..
