I inherited a home on the Westbank and I am slowly beginning to renovate it, as I start an new career with Tulane college. 

My goal is to start gaining some experience during my time in college and to invest more heavily after graduation.Given my current position, do you recommed pursuing wholesaling, or do you believe another area of real estate might be more suitable?

I have been building residential and commercial properties for most of my career and and started my home building company in 2000.

You can something in one sentence like "rent the property out", but you could make an entire career out of learning to do just that one step.

I have an IT career, but like some others, I'm looking at economics these days and realizing that I need to make a change to get to where I want to be. 

Perhaps this home is not suitable for a rental.

Figuring out what path to take today will be very different if you're looking to start a real estate investing career, or you're just looking to diversify some of your investing.

Any advice would be great as well.My rationale is below:- I have a career and don't want to focus on real estate full time right now.
