If putting $15-20k in (say, resurface hardwood floors, update kitchen/bath, improve landscaping, etc.) would let me sell for an additional $30-40k+ in a year or two, I'd consider it.

Since this topic has resurfaced I would say that people should consider doing a massive phone calling campaign, systematically over the region they want to cover.

I did a resurfacing in Pinellas and used electroglo.

Just a cosmetic renovation but trying to resurface and save as much as possible? 

While it appears to have been tabled for now, it'll be interesting in if the conversation resurfaces.

One of the main reasons that this is resurfacing for us is because I'm in the process of obtaining my contractor's license and my dad wants me to help him renovate his half of the duplex and possibly add another unit attached to the one he has been renting out.

Needing repair of original hardwoods from 1955, too thin to resurface, so need someone capable of repair if possible  Thanks for any suggestions!
