In most states a degree in construction management can be used to count as some the the experience requirement for a contractors licence, but can't be used for all of it.

After being licenced for three years the best advice I can offer is this business is very competitive and it's easy to loose yourself in the rat race.  

Since then I've received my licence and wanted to continue viewing properties.

If you decide to whole sale check your area about the laws so you don't get yourself into trouble,some states may consider wholesaling as brokering witch  requires a real estate licence.
