Usually they're not (Low PSI, no vapor barrier, steel, etc) I would check.....

Usually, there is structure between with insulation.If this is not the case, you will want to cover the brick with an insulator and a vapor barrier so you don't get condensation in the wall,

The current code is strict about living space requirement like steel/concrete PSI/vapor barrier.
