Should we hire a framer?

I had to argue quite a bit about the responsibility of the work to be done but at the end, the plumbing company is setting me up with a qualitied framer to finish the job. 

Then you shop the report to framers who will give you prices.

building permits in Charleston all in are about 5k in  Portland 35 to 60k per door.. in PDX we get framers for 5 bucks a foot in Charleston its 10.. but lumber is cheaper because its local pine not fir .so just go talk to a good civil engineering company they will probably give you an hour for free. then talk to the planning department and building department for free for you app fees etc. 

like in our market framers 5 years ago were 3 bucks a foot..

Also do any of you Lincoln investors have a good and affordable framer you use?

As to labor, you can consult local folks as to hourly rates - framers, finish carpenters, electricians, plumbers, drywallers, insulation companies. 

A painter will like to follow certain drywall people and cabinet makers will like to follow certain framers.

If the floors are that uneven, then your framers or the tile installer should first level the floors, you never use 2" of fill with thinset!

So, they spend a lot of effort in finding and closing economic loopholes that an REI'er can exploit.By hamstringing the private sector with rules that don't mesh with local real estate market conditions, the framer's primary goals of preservation are not met and they've cut off their noses to spite their faces.
