@Ian Dale Ibrado, Rent by the room HH'ing is an excellent REI strategy and works excellent out here in Denver, CO with the high cost for rent (very similar to Edmonton).

Right now we are focusing on new-build purpose-built multifamily in Edmonton (because I live here and know the market well), but I am considering the US too in the future, and if/when I venture there, I'm likely going to start off by investing as a passive investor or limited partner with someone who's already doing multifamily in the US.

Hey guysJust wanted some opinons, I am 19 , just moved to Edmonton Alberta, I hate it here but jobs are here, I worked construction and made just over 5 grand a month all last summer and now im working as an autmotive apprentice for 10 dollars an hour ( by 4th year ill be capped at 29.50$ an hour)I work 9-5 weekends off now, but the thing is Im kinda thinking about getting in construction, oil rigs again for fast money but I dont want to rethink this down the road and regret it, Fast money as in, money to get into serious full time investing as a career...I also want to move back to Ontario to get a Construction job next september...Is it worth the 65-75 hour weeks now till im 25 till I go full time investing or work 9-5 making 50k a year?

I am from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and it doesn't seem like there are a ton of people on here from Canada quite yet (less competition a good thing, less mentoring a bad thing haha).I originally found this site after attending a free Fortune Builders seminar and then getting hyped up about the $200 boot camp course.
