Unless you like donating a lot of your money to the government, I would avoid using a C-corp + salary.

its general to buying any rental property that you cant see does not matter where it comes from.I reflect back on a conversation I had with an Active duty military a few months back he had donated to our Charity aheroshome.org which BP has generously offered to be the chairty of choice along with other local charities at bPcon. 

and it got donated to a local museum. 

I would rather not buy equipment and put $75,000 in my wallet.People say that a business owner donated to charity for a TAX WRITE-OFF.

Hard to imagine legislation coming out that would harm these folks, especially since these are the very folks with (thanks in part to me and my ilk :P ) lots of money to donate to political campaigns.

Like someone said, if you want to give $800 a month to charity, go ahead and do it....but maybe donate to Wounded Warriors or something else deserving.....

It's somewhat related to covid in that she writes grants for a living, and the economic insecurity of covid has made people more reluctant to donate to charities i guess.

My initial though is....dumpster everything but jewelry as I don't want to deal with the time it take to sort things.Can you donate it and get a huge write off from good will?

I haven't found much of value after a move out or an eviction (well, my son and I once found a packet of what we assumed were drugs and I suppose the tenant would have found that of value but we presented the stuff to our local police instead) but I am a big one on recycling intact furniture to our local Habitat and Catholic Social Services organizations to avoid good stuff ending up in the landfill and donating canned goods to our local soup kitchen.
