So I recommend going to your property and making sure that someone will be there to meet you to give you access(have a backup plan or two if they stand you up- knock to see if there's a tenant, and if it's obvious that there is no tenant, bring proof of ownership, call a locksmith, and get in there to take some video.)If you decide to stick it out, I'd promptly fire Morris Invest and hire another manager.

@Ryan Judah If your contract states that one or more units are to be delivered vacant and they are not vacant at closing, your attorney or title company should require a hold back of funds paid to the seller.The amount should be enough to cover an eviction and whatever other fees (moving, storage, legal, locksmith, unpaid utilities, etc) you would encounter due to the seller's breach of contract.

Charge them for coming to let them in or they can call a locksmith at their own expense.The bigger issue here is the assault and burglaries.

They did not tell me till after 3 days the door was locked and my recommendation was to call a locksmith-  I was very clear on the keys that were given and that door had none.2nd- The apartment floods- I was not notified till after 24 hours-  It took about 1.5 months from drying to demolition to reinstalling the whole kitchen.

I have heard some of these scammers will go so far as to tell people they are out of town go ahead and call a locksmith to change the locks.
