Perhaps as a speculative bet on future appreciation.Lakewood and Edgewater are better than those areas, but still awful for finding rentals.

My experience is that lenders are not quite that strict, though I'm not sure I would bet on that.Your will need down payments.

It worked for me in new england.Thinking about it now, It might be a better strategy to pool all my capital into just a large building that cashflows well. and then buying a hud house or condo to fix up and live in and bet on the appreciation of that kind of property, rather than hoping for appreciation of a building where rents are way too low to justify the price.

I guess my question, I should be able to do everything myself, other than raising the roof and the central a/c, or is there some task I may not be thinking of such as electrical or plumbing I may be overlooking?
