I started in the Portland market at 23( 9 years ago) finishing up a 4 year carpenter apprenticeship working full time going to school for finance in the evenings at PCC, Army national guard on the weekends.

I think I brought 50k to buy some spent less than 10 and left and I don't think any redeemed I just wrote it off was not worth my time to chase them down.I would think if one had a little army this could play well in small rural counties were the competition would not be so stiff....

, have read about 1/3 of J Scott's flipping book, and will continue to listen to the podcasts and read over the next few months (and beyond).I am originally from Iowa, but have spent the last 7 years on Active Duty (Army) in Alabama, central Texas, El Paso, and of course Afghanistan a couple times.

I've lived in this area for almost 10 years this time around and for a few more years before my adventures in the Army. 

Seek realtor who either has experience  with experience with investors, or buying and flipping his own properties ............also with other team members  members (property management, handyman,  local bankers, contractors, etc) to help point me in the right directionI am a US Army Disabled Veteran Grandpa, who has decided to invest in 2-4 multifamily houses .... any other veterans or anyone with real estate investing experience I would appreciate  advice, tips to minimize costly mistakes as a newbie investor...

They did some sort of test (where this came from I have no idea) by taking wet towels, placing them on the floor and then on her arm. :\ I thought I had heard it all.I told my PM that I think they just want out of the lease for what ever reason and this is what they have come up with. 

I stopped reading after I saw Joel could identify firearms and knows not to point the open hole in the barrel toward himself and can operate a swiss army pocket knife including all attachments, self defense is not running a red light or crossing the street without looking......LOL:) Kim, get another agent, they are just lazy.
