Every piece of granite needed to be trimmed, cut at an angle straight, polished, beveled and fit perfectly on a set of cabinets that wasn't perfectly square.Other misc things were demo of old counter, rebuilding plywood base with cement board.

,,,,lolJosh excellent questionThe simple reason a good plumber wants to replace or upgrade a fixture are numerous1 Usually in a home of any age the original fixtures have the daylights beat out of them,,plumbing works 24/7 like a steamship,,constantly under pressure ,,the darn thing usually needs to be changed out.You are providing something of value that will insure years of trouble free service2 In most cases the time invested in "fixing or rebuilding" a plumbing fixture is better invested in removing and replacing the same or better grade fixture.Why fix "junk" or replace "junk with junk" right?
