You might have problems installing a security camera which has a view of a shared conference room and possibly even the shared lobby.Posting signs on your entrances saying that it is under 24 hour video surveillance and having cameras inside would probably achieve your goals.

We have one unit I market as a 3 or 4 bedroom- the 4th bedroom is barely big enough to be a legal bedroom and is usually used as a spare room or storage, but we do get more interest in the unit because of it.As for the extra space- I would rent the attic as extra storage if the 2nd floor unit wanted to rent it, and assuming the basement is accessible to both (outside entrance?)

I moved into a building about 6 months ago, They said it would be secured with cameras, secure entrance and all..There is one camera in the main entrance of the building but it has been smashed or ripped off the wall (gone)....

I would put one at the entrance and maybe in common areas, but I would not recommend placing them near bedrooms or private areas.
