As our savings grow (still less than 100k, but definitely more money than either of us have ever seen in our lives), I've been thinking about using the cash to put 20% down on well-priced homes in other states that meet the 1% rule, renting them out, and then having local property managers keep up with the day-to-day maintenance.Still need to do a lot of research--I know the FIRE community is very anti-outsourcing for property management, and I know it cuts into profits, so I'm curious about the BP community.

The thing that will be tough is outsourcing some of this. 

SEO is a very tough thing to outsource.

Rather than creating the site themselves, they outsource it to a company like Bryan's. 

@Andy Herrig, So I don't have the time and on the ground knowledge to be able to get it done efficiently myself this year, so I plan to outsource it.

Here is how my husband and I approach outsourcing costs: Will the time you would have to spend doing these items cost you more by taking you away from other revenue generating activities?

How about we just buy the whole loan notes at a discount (happening now), slap in some REO's (starting to happen in bulk more frequently and the future looks more liquid), outsource the servicing of the notes, and outsource the title and servicing of these transactions.

The consulting company is outsourced to do similar work as employees of the company she's currently working in.

@Anthony Favoroso I do some screen scraping and also use outsourcers to screen scrape and get various data from county websites.

Considering you were unable to do much work after your broken ankle and you still were able to complete this project, are you considering outsourcing all of it the next time around?
