As for efforts to get something in Treasure Valley, like B.A.R.T. in California; some have sought such a transport system for Boise, only, for years, with no results yet turned into reality for Boise.

- Investing within an hour of your house, meeting your contractors/GC, having eyes on the property, utilizing local real estate values you might be familiar with...OR - Investing in an unreachable (by plane or significant transportation distance), not regularly meeting your contractors/GC, not having your eyes on the property, not having knowledge of the market...When you compare the two, its a no-brainer.

A class brand new just built all sorts of modern amenities including big GYM  maybe day care  coffee shop etc.. all within blocks of each other same public transportation and same schools.. this is where the New buildings could have big move in bonus's and renters leave the lower tire props for the brand new one.. you still need great/good credit to get into ABC in Portland..  

It was close to Bart/ public transportation  and the average room rents go for $800 for a room with a shared bath and $1200 for a private bathroom. 

You can find good neighborhoods and excellent transportation downtown on the South and Southwest sides for a LOT less money than you'd pay where you're looking now.

Medical Center (jobs and growth) and Hobby airport (cheap available transportation).

I think the same people who are willing to take trains (or drive a long commute) will be the same ones treating self driving cars as another mode of transportation.

Past businesses include: Wedding / Transportation / Pet / Business Development industries (Her)Ideally, we are hoping to find someone to finance the initial purchase of the total land - of which we would later purchase/possess 4-5 acres of our own.

Making sure they also have a steady supply of wood is another issue in that who is going to pay for the total cost of that, and is it worth the price of the wood + transportation compared to a traditional gas / oil furnace.
