You could have a bad experience having a rental in San Francisco but you could also have a good experience having a rental in Indiana.As I'm a landlord in both Bay Area and Indiana (OOS), I can say your experience mostly will not be dependent on the market but merely on the condition of the house and the behavior of the tenant.
