My husband grew up in Westchester and I grew up in North Riverside - now we live further west.Here are my two cents: Brookfield - nice schools - nice price points- area we are looking inNorth Riverside (Riverside-Brookfield HS) top rated school - be west of 1st Ave and check to make sure they took care of the flooding issues we all had back in the day.Riverside is very expensive and taxes are very high.Westchester - terrible schools LaGrange Park is a bit cheaper than LaGrange but is still expensiveLombard - nice areaDowners Grove - nice but a bit pricey thoughGlendale Heights - for rentalsCarol Stream - for rentalsI saw a posting from a realtor about a property in Berwyn if you would like I could try to find the info for you.
