I own property on Lake Michigan that I am going to build on but the lumber prices have put that on hold so I have been looking to buy land or rentals.

Who picks them up, who unloads them and stores them?

Also units of that size will only attract an investor buyer (except in New York or San Francisco), so your chances of unloading it for a good profit are slim.It seems like it's doing slightly more than 1%, but if it's a high tax area or insurance is killing, then I would walk on it.

I like that idea we have done that with Timber land at least with Stimson lumber  but the feds will do it so will the state.. you being in Boise have probably seen the maps were federal and BLM and state lands are in sections ( 640) acres and ownerships are checkerboarded with private lands..
