Anyone care to share their thoughts about the Birmingham, AL market (specifically the "Village at Magnolia" subdivision or zip code 35405 area) for single family residences (3bd/2ba)?  

It's in a small village but it's becoming kind of a trendy place, within a (long) commuting distance of the city so artistic types seem to be going there to get out of NYC.

The amount of work you are hoping or willing to put into the house to get it ready.I've had some success with house hacking from Marietta, to East Atlanta Village, to Westview.

Good evening - I live in an older ranch style home in the Memorial Villages area of Houston, Texas.  

They've built as much into the Williams Village complex as they can and Boulder's anti-growth laws won't allow for anything significant to be built any more.

I personally moved to Little Village to get started in real estate because the prices were low and I could handle the crime and quality of life here (tons of amazing Mexican food helps too).I think Garfield Park is going to be an area that actually sees some decent growth, but the crime rate in the neighborhood is going to slow that down for a while.

Playa was just a small fishing village back then, and now it is an international holiday destination.
