Hi,I've decided to break out of the turn-key rental market and start looking at properties that may require a bit more rehab work than I am usually willing to undertake.

So down to the question:I know new development is a bigger undertaking and WAY more work (which I'm willing to fully commit to) but is it too much for a beginner to get started with?

Wow - that is quite an ambitious and interesting undertaking!

That's a big undertaking and I wish you luck on that but be careful.

Trying to rebuild (or  for that matter, undertake ANY significant renovation) while occupied will likely cost 30% more and take significant additional time.Ice is more or less straightforward...add heat!

I have to say that I am surprised that anyone would want to undertake a difficult logistical operation like this.
