Working on the other side of the world (in a backward timezone and with crappy internet) taught me the importance of systems.

I self-manage rentals in several cities across the country and find it easier to manage the ones in similar time zones.

But by broadening their horizons and seeking accountants in *potentially* a different time zone, clients expose themselves to a much wider pool of accountants and will likely have better success at finding someone that can meet their particular needs.I used to say that you don't necessarily need an accountant who invests, just one who's practice is primarily made up of real estate investors.
