A few of the hotels there have where you buy/own the actual unit and you become part of the "rental pool" & get monthly dividends based on how well the hotel does..this one sounds similar.

Which makes sense because I can still be in the same ballpark price wise as a hotel to pick up those 2 guest stays (presumably mostly couples, but not always), with the added value of everything a SFR provides.

It is not difficult to debug the future from their investments using their own website.most STR/LTR syndication that had strong presence should be :- working in local niche market only- has five to ten years experience- had open book / track record mentality- the audited financial statement should be available to understand the business.STR market itself is very risky investment in my opinion, now you add fund/syndication then you have double big problem.one out of five hotel syndication is going for bankruptcy in the last two years , and we expect STR to survive ?

I have have had some success there but reliability has been a big issue.Startup idea:1) Airbnb chewing up hotel industry  (anybody gets to be part time hotelier)2) Uber/Lyft chewing up taxi services (anybody gets to be part time driver)3) Rover chewing up kennel services (anybody gets to be part time pet sitter)4) Ebay/Amazon chewing up brick and mortar retailers (anybody gets to be a part time retailer)I need a platform where I can find part time property managers and by that I mean somebody who can show the property around.

If you don't allow them to stay, they will likely need to go to a long term stay hotel or something else similarly expensive PLUS pay for storage for their belongings, PLUS pay to move their belongings twice rather than once.
