The corporate life is becoming very monontonous and way to political these days so I am taking the plunge to learn a bit more about REI to hopefully someday (soon) make a leap and fulfill a dream.My experience is limited to a few books, some great reads here on the BP forums, growing up in a DIY family (so I am pretty confident in basic carpentry), and priding myself with common sense.

I plunged the toilet and changed the fill valve, which is a basic repair that a homeowner should know how to do.Normally a fully running toilet makes noise, but in this case it was almost fully off, but no quite, so it made no noise but was sending a few ounces of water into the bowl ever minute or two, until it was full and overflowed.If it is a rocking toilet, tighten the bolts until firm.

Not sure I want to do multi family at all...I also run a full time business so real estate truly has to be more of a passive deal.I plan on taking a break after number five and paying down some mortgages / HELOC.THANKS BP...Everyone has been a tremendous help.Anyone nervous to take that first plunge (as I was)...all I can say is -- just jump.

There were so many properties on the market, prices plunged, and there were not enough buyers at any price.This was a very local problem, which speaks to why reliance on state or national numbers can be very misleading.Example of a common cost pitfall; not determining and considering all the associated costs of owning and holding a property.
