You really need to immerse yourself and learn all you can.

My wife and I are really excited and really want to immerse ourselves in this venture.

As a total novice in real estate I would suggest watching and listening to Bigger Pockets on the daily, become immersed in it. 

I'm looking to immerse myself in Real Estate, specifically Development but also Investment and Asset Management. 

It's more fun, it helps you get more immersed in what you're actually doing, and it helps build confidence both with you and with whomever you're speaking.

I'm immersing myself in literature and webinars.

The book recommendations at the end of hte podcasts are great, as is immersing yourself in your desired market.

For us, we are trying to get immersed in our market, Houston, hence my move to Katy, TX this year.

Every day I learn something because I immerse myself with like-minded folks...like those on this thread.As far as mentoring & training programs I will say this...I know many successful investors who work with a couple of the larger programs you have probably run across.
