I've been on the site and listened to the Bigger Pockets podcasts for a while now.I want to pursue FI through buy-and-hold rentals.

I have aspirations of flying for the airlines someday, but I also have aspirations of developing a RE portfolio that produces around 10k a month so I can have a FI lifestyle and live out some of my other dreams.

You also are very limited in the investments you can make, which are solely the funds that they offer (C, G, F, I, S, and lifecycle).

. - I’m starting to think the issue is the credit cards and maybe not so much re-fi.

I think the main thing to focus on is talking to banks to get your re-fi lined up.

Does anyone have thoughts about what areas are best for cash-flowing rental investments within 30 minutes of Charleston, SC? I

My wife and I are looking to get into this whole lifestyle and are wanting to "househack" our way to our FI.
