To answer your question on the market in 2015-2017 decline (really late 2015 to mid-2016 based on operating rigs), there was indeed a sharp decline in rents and occupancy (a potential positive for SS when people move into smaller places and need storage space).

I get around the "more than half the services" rule by two means: (1) I work a rotational schedule for my W2 job where I work 4 weeks offshore on a rig, then get 4 weeks off.

Because if you read further in the actual label of the herbicide most plants are short enough to still get a ground rig over them and it is significantly cheaper.

In my area there are a couple small more rural based "mom and pop" house movers and 1 or 2 large regional structural mover/rigging companies.If you're talking manufactured homes, your area might be different but in my area anything 80s-90s or newer I might look into trying to put on it's own land.
