Although I run a fund that does a lot of non-performing loans and flips in the Midwest and Southeastern US, my wife is in a partnership with someone else that will probably do more than 50 flips in the Tampa Bay area this year.

@Heath Jones Alternate... advertise it as scrap metal for free on condition of being picked up on Craiglist... copper and aluminum in the unit gets the scrappers excited to haul it away at no cost.

Victor,Before you start calling around I would recommend gathering some info:1. is there knob & tube or aluminum wiring2. when were the systems updated and was it full or partial updates: - Roof - Electrical - Plumbuing - Heating For the Electric a) are there circuit breakers or fuses b) what amp service For Plumbing a) any pex piping.

I have replaced single pane aluminum windows in two early 1980’s homes using double pane vinyl framed windows from a mobile home supply store.

For lead, you'd want to keep the paint in good condition just in case but with the windows all being either vinyl or aluminum and the interior trim being more recent than 1978, I wouldn't expect lead paint to be a concern.

If the mystery paint is behind aluminum siding I wouldn’t worry about it, and I’m in one of the “leadiest” places in the country.

The aluminum siding is also quite dated and ugly so our plan is to replace it in hopes to bring up the curb appeal/value.
