and you also have to be careful about whether there was a subordination; if you see a small senior lien held by a lender, and bigger junior liens held by some lender, then you should expect that the junior lenders required a subordination of that lower amount lien - and now what was senior becomes junior!

Lienholder redemption periods allow the junior lienholders to pay off the winning bid, plus any previous junior lienholders who did redeem, and get the property.

Whoever records the lien first has Senior/First Lien status all other liens are Junior to the First/Senior lien.There are some Super Liens that jump in line for some states like HOA, Municipality and Tax Liens for example.Hope this helps.Jeff V
