If time is our most precious resource, do you think it is worth while to spend a lot of it trying to serve such whimsical impulses?

This demographic does not skew to the irrational, uninformed or impulsive.

We are very image conscious and often buy clothes impulsively to look good.

Having little time to research it, and the other investors that I talked to about it hadn't been able to use it yet, I decided to not make an impulse purchase.

I have adhd, impulse, get bored and blow any savings I have on, you guessed it. cars. bummer. does anybody have any good books that could help a guy with this problem? 

I thank you for putting it into my head to NOT impulse buy anything.

Anyway we are mostly new to this...or at least new to researching and learning about real estate instead of being impulsive...and I'm loving the Bigger Pocket site and just read one of the books on rental properties.

If you don't like it, too bad, which is what you say your first impulse for renting is (to make sure you like it before buying).

Perhaps too impulsively, I invested 20k to set up an Airbnb in an HOA governed neighborhood: one of the few left unregulated outside of Boulder, CO, and the neighbors just informed me that there are several clear rules I am breaking with my Airbnb Ads, he has found them and requested I stop at threat of calling in the HOA.
