Make sure it's spayed or neutered, and registered - which also insures it's up to date on vaccinations. 

If you can send me info on the dog (spay/neuter, vaccine, license # - whatever you normally require) and a copy of your nephews relocation orders, you can keep the dog.

Last I heard private business can refuse entry if you do not have a mask or a vaccine, even if you have a disability that prevents you from doing so. 

That may help you in easy turn around, tossing area rugs and mats after a multi year tenancy, and vaccine and damp dust....best of luck...

You can still ask to see the animal's county license and vaccinations as that is a legal requirement for all animals, service animal or not.
