Lots has changed over the years.Managing it yourself from a distance can be done, but it will require your team to be built and for you to have back up strategies if guests need attention and you're unavailable.

@Kyle Carter, The strategy you're looking at would be what is called a "consolidation exchange". followed by a conversion to your primary residence. 

But the STR market is so dynamic that I enjoying networking with people who pay attention to how it's progressing and changing.
