I wouldn't want to buy in a high crime rate, especially violent crime, area, but what percent is worth my time and money?

I looked up the official crime stats and Warrendale's violent crime rate is almost triple the rest of Detroit, which is pretty bad to begin with, and 700% higher than the rest of the country. 

The felonies could be drug related or something non violent, but that could still be bad for business

Income 3x monthly rent, credit score >600, no evictions, no violent crimes etc6.

Normally it is more related to unnatural/violent deaths, but since you would be looking at a lot of people potentially passing away on your property, something to consider for resale.

If it was 6 months ago and it was something violent, not so much. 

Aggravated robbery and 20+ years in prison almost certainly means a violent robbery.

Of course, not knowing who is living there may have other risks, such as, are there any convicted sexual or violent offenders living in the home.
