Reaching out to my grandparents so they could take an heloc on their house so I can start because I do not want to pass on real estate.

My family would like our grandparents home built in 1964 fully renovated and upgraded.

We currently have a single family unit that used to belong to my wife’s grandparents that we turned into a rental. 

I now live in Germany, with mother in law because we have a baby and prefer to live with grandparents for the baby, plus its free and clear and no rent. 

So if someone from that group wants to book the house, the call their mom, or grandparent.

I have worked with house hack clients in the past and also am familiar with Jupiter (I have family in Juno Beach and grandparents were in Jupiter 20+ years).  

Our grandparents didn't invest under an LLC, and they survived.

Or is this just a theoretical way to gift an asset, but on paper it remains in the parent (grandparent/ gifter's) name?   

And what is the mix of guests (couples, entire families with kids, grandparents, parent visiting college students, hikers/water sports, college football fans) maybe theme it to what people think of when they go there or provide things that would enhance their stay (paddle boards, video games, theater room, kayaks, really cool beds that have slides etc).

That I’m not wasting my time looking into the possibilities that exist.Long story short, I’ve inherited part ownership in a rental property passed down from my grandparents.
