Bonus room Ideas

Good afternoon,

I have a property in Gainesville, FL that I am thinking about turning into a midterm/short term rental.  It is a 3/2 with a converted one car garage that is a bonus room.  This room has the washer, dryer, and water heater.  I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what this room should be.  I do not think it would be a good bedroom as the washer and dryer are in a closet in this room.  All thoughts are appreciated!

Tyler

Hey Tyler!

Without any more details I would make it a game room and maybe theme it out for the Gators.  I would also find a way to sleep at least 2 people (if not 4) using convertible sofas and/or murphy beds.  It does not need to be a bedroom but people may not mind sleeping there.  I imagine there are a lot of 3/2 that probably sleep 8-10 and if you can offer a slightly larger bed count and a cool game room/theme room you can differentiate yourself a bit from your competition and get some extra revenue through slightly higher rate (extra person fees, etc) as well as an overall higher occupancy.  Best of luck!
