What about real estate in the countryside, e.g. a $2M vacation home in upstate New York or a $5M chateau in southern France -- do those properties have an international market?

Since today is February the 13th, Paris is also nice on Valentines day.You might also want to consider something like one of these properties.https://www.prestigeproperty.co.uk/french-chateau-...They are not cheap but with 32 bedrooms you could spread the cost over many people.

The agents seem to give conflicting info on whether or not Fat City is a 'good' area (translation: safe, desirable rental market) with some saying they wouldn't even consider buying in that area of Metaire - saying they would "only" consider buying on the west side, around the University City area, where the Chateau Golf & Country club are.

I still think the cash flow in this neighborhood is very good and frankly that is what Pittsburgh investors should shoot for...cash flow as opposed to appreciation.As far as development...there is a huge development in the works for the Manchester/Chateau area which is very close by.

It was French wine.. ( and he obviously probably got it somehow but somehow was probably illegal) any way being a young RE agent I had the 100 bucks.. so I bought it.Turned out to be a case of 1974 Chateau Marquex the real stuff... even then was worth 100 a bottle..
