I actually am around in neighborhood in Braintree.

By owning a multi family, you will be building equity while your tenants will be subsidizing your monthly living expenses.This strategy may not work great in Boston due to astronomical prices, but many of the surrounding areas would work well (Quincy, Malden, Everett, Chelsea, Braintree, Melrose, etc.).

If you work in Boston, try staying somewhere outside the city with easy access to subway system (Malden, Melrose, Quincy, Braintree, etc.) and if the prices are too high and outside your comfort zone, start looking at areas with easy access to a commuter rail stop - this will give you a larger geographic option to consider.If I can help answer any questions you have in further detail, please don't hesitate to reach out via direct message.

Seeing as my first investment will probably be a house hack, I think I’m going to stay away from the south shore and the Braintree split for this one lol.

I'm also taking my RE course Thurs thru Sun in Braintree.  

Rents are equivalent to that of Weymouth, Quincy, Braintree, but at half the price.

The property is a 2 bedroom 1 bath 745sqft condo in Braintree Massachusetts.

As you get about 8 blocks west of RT 28, Brockton becomes indistinguishable from Braintree.  

Thanks, Account Closed Rockland might work, but I'm hoping to find a group in the eastern portion of Norfolk County (Milton, Dedham, Needham, Westwood, Canton, Quincy, and Braintree areas).I'd like to attend the Black Diamond events in Waltham, just have had some scheduling conflicts the past month or two.
