Charge a credit card fee if the tenant pays with a credit card?
8 December 2015 | 7 replies
I haven't dealt with it in a landlord/tenant situation, but from a couple of people I have known who accepted credit cards for their retail businesses, the credit card associations (Visa/Mastercard/Amex) "don't like it" if the business tries to charge the credit card fee to the customer, and can potentially stop accepting charges from that business if they do it.But, the card associations seem to be perfectly OK with the idea of a business advertising or giving a "cash discount".

wikileaks warns Bank of America

(posted friday morn)To clarify, this isn't a threat from Wikileaks to BoA.There have been several payment processors (including Visa, Mastercard and PayPal) who have stopped allowing payments to Wikileaks, and subsequently those processors were hit by denial-of-service attacks or other forms of "hacking" by supporters of Wikileaks -- but not Wikileaks itself. Those that have followed these attacks on payment processors clearly believe that if BoA has stopped donations to Wikileaks, then BoA will be the next target of these non-centralized hackers.Who knows...they may be right.
