So moral of the story is, don't just assume that because the amount owing is higher than the property is worth that the bank will not be discounting the note at auction.Also, VERY IMPORTANT: understand the risks of buying at auction.

Maybe they are available at the local building department for public view, but I have never seen them online.The moral is: in some markets, the price to acquire is more than replacement cost, or cost to build new.
