Rents here $1800 or higher B class = Still more Retail area rents Generally $1200 up C class =  Starting to jump into Vinyl Villages as I like to call them.

I have quite a few houses in my neighborhood ( I live in an incorporated village) that seem to look very run down, grass is overgrown, house is basically falling apart, although some of the houses have a car in the driveway, some of them have notices on the front doors or in the yard.

I've toyed with the idea of Ogden Valley and Powder Mountain since the goal of the new ownership there is to build a village and turn it into a Park City style area, but it's already priced like it's Park City.Even the mediocre western ski destinations have exorbitant real estate pricing. 

In the 90's and early 2000's there were alot of "vinyl village" type neighborhoods built in many of the township areas. 

Are they in the area near the art gallery or in the Elmwood Village or are they in the fruit belt?

What a mess.But with all that said Chatham and Rochester is in high demand.People pay the big bucks to live in both villages.

There are some properties on Kingsbury grade, ~10 minutes from the Tourist Core/Heavenly Village that fall within the Douglas County Tahoe Township.

You also could try house hacking in neighborhoods that have more upside like Little Village or you could jump into the near suburbs.
