The solution I came up with was to purchase myself a Simplsafe brand alarm system with 2 motion detectors and put them in the property. 

I wake up at 5:30am when the alarm goes off, walk into the other room to stop it, and shuffle right back to bed for another 45 minutes.

No need for alarm.
