Are you saying that the "countless" blooming small businesses that provide, what, sanitation services and sewing cloth masks, are supporting the 40+ million people who have lost their jobs?

They wore fancy jewelry and clothing worth more than my rent. 

We also have local charities that help underprivileged children with food and clothing.

They will not accept things such as paper diapers, sanitary napkins,tampons, children’s toys, wads of toilet paper, balls of hair, grease, oil,table scraps, clothing, rags, sand, dirt, rocks, or newspapers.

I buy work clothes at Goodwill, have bought two used trucks in 35 years, have bought tires off Craig's List, do my own PM, etc. 

My family sees me buying $10-$20 books on real estate as a waste of time, however if I spent that same money on clothes, eating out, etc it would be okay.

If you provide the washer, you may even get complaints about the size not being big enough or not doing a good job washing or drying clothes. 

In fact we pulled up to our most recent BRRRR on the day we closed and our work clothing and work truck must have given the impression of squatters because the next door neighbor was in our yard within 5 minutes demanding to know what we were doing there. 

I was friends with an old guy that bought his clothes at the flea market and drove an old truck that was rusted out and had the springs poking up thru the seat.

I have been thinking about hiring someone to pick out my clothes in the mornings.
