It turns out this property was purchased in 1986, sold in 1992, was bought and sold several times since, and ultimately ended up as an REO due to foreclosure.I never understood the whole story, but it appears reconveyance at the time of the 1992 sale was faulty in some manner, which clouded my title.

It is a great area that is has a very strong real estate market, but it is very pricey.Is the ultimate goal to keep the place afterwards or are you hoping to hold it for a few years that your son lives in it then sell it for a profit?
