Is it ok to exchange a property to a couple raw vacant lands?

Hi BP community,I am hoping to get some insight and past experiences from other investors who have used their SDIRAs to purchase raw land in developing areas.

A developer buys raw land, obtains permits, sub divides land, runs utilities, sewer and roads.

You're buying raw materials, adding value and selling the end products.

( I understand that building a strip mall is a lot more involved and time consuming than buy existing one)While the agent will generally make more on a building as opposed to raw land, your agent is steering you in the right direction.

Newbie here -- just signed up for an account last night :)Anyway, my husband and I recently purchased some raw land out in Joshua Tree.

I have some clients that have expressed interest in perhaps purchasing and developing raw land in the greater Phoenix area for spec building.

But I'm not running a charity and it isn't my fault that life dealt her a raw deal or she planned poorly for her future or some combination of both.
