Since a lot of urban markets have implemented strict regulations within the last few years, most of this investors purchased their STRs in non-urban markets, increasing competition, decreasing occupancy rates and driving nightly rates down in those markets, just as they had done in urban markets before they were regulated.Anyone who purchased a non-urban STR based on 2020 & 2021 STR occupancy & nightly rates are facing a harsh reality today. 

A cheaper option than removing it is having a company spray it with a chemical to stop the growth, but some say it doesn't work well.Looking forward to your input and willing to pay a California real estate attorney a small fee for a 20 min consultation.Thanks,Eric

I saw this post before the pictures, and had to delete the comment I wrote because it was a little too harsh - but it looks like you got the message anyway.You had a property with a dangerous, loose dog, endangering a toddler...

Damages are much more harsh and more expensive to deal with and happen much more frequently at the larger cabins, at least in my circle.

@Bruce Woodruff I thought this pertinent: The dictionary definition of Chemical Warfare is: tactical warfare using substances with irritant, burning, poisonous, or asphyxiating properties. 

From building code violations leading to extreme damages, or injury, or death, and mold, asbestos, hazardous chemicals/substances found on site, etc.   

If there is a serious earthquake, hurricane, city wide fire, tornado, hail storm, flood, chemical spill into the water supply, crime increase, riots, drug house down the street - I know that these never happen, (except that these are rather regular occurrences) but let's say such an occurrence occurs in your neighborhood, what do you do if you own?

I wouldn't say blackmail as that's a bit harsh, would more likely say help promote just like how any business owner would promote their business by asking people to like their Facebook page or give a 5 star on yelp/google in exchange for something of value. 

The water tends to have a chemical taste and smell.
