So just a little background info about me - I work for a top top brokerage firm in NY and have studied architecture & real estate development.

Congrats, I could tell that this was a STl property from the architecture before I saw that you were from STL.

The structural engineer is saying that the building's original architectural plans only show the first floor (it's a very old 2 story building and its the 2nd floor where we'll be doing most of the work), they're hand drawings with no dimension nor on correct scale.

I spent more of my time taking 20 minute bathroom breaks during english class to go talk to my architecture teacher who has been investing in RE for 30+ years.

Also, any idea how much it costs to get architectural plans drawn up?

Louis and thought it'd be great to introduce myself and jump into the amazing conversations on the forum.I'm new to real estate investing for myself, yet have been a commercial real estate development analyst for the past two years and an architecture and business student before that.

I have family in both architecture and construction so I am optimistic (or maybe naive) that we can cut costs by doing some of the project ourselves!
