Honestly, the guest speaker was good, but I feel I got more out of our after-meeting chat than I did out of the whole investor meeting.  

@Jeff Pollack  also has a good meetup down at the Hoffbrau in San Jose, with a speaker on a different subject each time.Account Closed , Oakland rocks!

@Aziza Sackett The forum you're looking at was for last year :-)I was actually at the meeting Francis mentioned...it was this last Sunday.It was a bit of a let down in regards to the amount of time allocated to networking.The topic the speaker spoke about was great (Notes...in general), but it took too long.I'm not looking to start one of these, just way too busy workin', but I'd be happy to come to one if you put it together Aziza.New investor here and looking to meet others :-)Make it happen.

Darwin, unlike other speakers on the circuit, REALLY does make money in this business by doing REAL deals and not just selling programs on how to do it (can you tell how much I dislike that?

I'm trying to locate a good course on speaker who presents on the topic of Raising Private Money for my Houston REIA group.

We meet the 2nd Thursday of every month and bring in National and Local speakers and some nights we just talk about deals we have in the works and creative ways to get them together.

Our director does a great job of finding speakers at the monthly main event, and we have 4 subgroup meetings every month - rehab, real estate notes, multi-family, and wholesaling.

Also they have great speakers and a multitude of sub-groups all over the Greater Philly area.
